Before King Jigme Wangchuck arrived, India changed import rules for marble from Bhutan

India signed an MoU with Bhutan last month for supply of cement for road construction and changed its policy to allow 10,000 tonnes of marble every year from Bhutan, without minimum import price, which is expected to provide relief for the kingdom’s marble industry.
