Budget likely to raise MGNREGS allocation by 9% to Rs 60,000 crore

The budget is expected to increase the allocation for the flagship MGNREGA to Rs 60,000 crore, a 9% increase over the Rs 55,000 crore budgeted for the scheme in the 2018-19 budget.
