Even apples shrivel in Chinese storm

‘The big four’ in Indian consumer electronics space — Samsung, Apple, Sony, Panasonic — were forced to adjust prices and saw their profits dip in the face of aggressive onslaught by Chinese companies including Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo, in 2019. Price war has continued into FY20 and margins continue to remain under stress, tipping into losses.
